The London Festival of Architecture is a city-wide celebration of architecture and architectural talent in the UK capital. It brings architects and communities together to examine how we make London a better place.
The theme of the 2012 Festival - ‘The Playful City’ – responds to the presence in London of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Southwark Hub 23-24 June
All hubs »Visit Southwark on the opening weekend of the LFA (23-24 June) to enjoy the launch of
a new public space at Gibbon’s Rent designed by architect Andrew Burns and
landscape designer Sarah Eberle. This forgotten cut-through will be reclaimed through a
growing assembly of potted plants, and animated throughout the weekend with
activities and events, to provide a lasting legacy for the Festival.
Close by, at The Architecture Foundation’s Tooley Street HQ you are invited to
experience Bureau Spectacular’s newly commissioned ‘Hefner/Beuys House’, an
inhabitable installation of modular ‘super-furniture’, which architect
Jimenez Lai will be calling home for the duration of the LFA.
