King's Cross Focus Weekend

On the closing Festival weekend, The Architecture Foundation will focus its energy on the King’s Cross area, where visitors will be invited to explore a trail of ‘urban actions’—small, playful interventions which seek to improve the city for its users--designed by leading local architects, businesses and cultural organisations, co-ordinated in partnership with architects Squire and Partners.

From a petrol station transformed by Carmody Groarke, an urban picnic, and an imagination playground designed by David Rockwell, to dance performances by Sadler’s Wells, the weekend is set to be full of positive and transformative activity.

A specially commissioned Urban Actions Field Guide designed by Ken Kirton and published by Hato Press will also be available during the weekend with ideas and inspiration of how to create urban actions of your own.

The King's Cross Focus weekend is supported by Argent Group Plc.
